Hi there! Maria here.
The owner of Lifestyle Traveler.
I’m here to help you live life on your own terms, embracing the freedom and adventure that travel can offer.
I believe that you don’t have to be tied down to any one place, for any amount of time, but can split your time between all the places that inspire you most.
I quit my job in 2016 to have more time to travel the world. I’ve always dreamt of being location independent and my job would not allow me that.
However I do not think that you absolutely have to quit to be able to travel. On the contrary, I’m a big proponent of taking your job with you, wherever you may roam.
Since 2021 I travel with a small Pacsafe V28 backpack.
I’m a firm believer that you can travel light while still having everything you need.
I think of minimalism as a lifestyle that makes your life easier and leads to a more fulfilling and intentional life.
To me the secret to true minimalist travel is having portable peace of mind and having the ability to take ‘home’ wherever you go.
And to me it’s not about having less stuff. It’s the art of living with what you need, nothing more, and definitely nothing less.
That means sticking solely to things you require and ditching the rest!
Besides stuff this also includes commitments, relationships, work, and lifestyle – any non-essential that’s weighing you down.
