Hotel Paracas, A Luxury Collection Resort For A Quick Sunny Getaway From Lima
These past 2 months in Peru have been absolutely amazing for me. I’ve learned more about my culture, re-discovered my hometown, and met some amazing people that I know will be in my life for years to come. This past week I got the chance to travel with my roomate, Kristy (you’ve seen her tons on my IG stories), and some friends from New York. We went to explore Paracas and some of the spectacular surrounding areas, and stayed at the wonderful Hotel Paracas, a Luxury Collection Resort.
The Best Resort For A Quick Sunny Getaway From Lima
Hotel Paracas is more beautiful than I could have ever expected. The resort is decorated in all beach-y colors – white, tan, and lined with palm trees – and most importantly, it’s located right by the sea. Being at Hotel Paracas felt like we had traveled to a Mediterranean island, rather than just being 3 hours away from Lima. The ambiance here is so peaceful that it was actually hard for me to leave the hotel to go explore Huacachina (a place that’s been on my bucket list for ages!).
We arrived to Hotel Paracas around midday on Sunday and were greeted by the kindest staff. Our rooms were not yet ready when we arrived, so we explored the resort for a bit and settled in the magnificent sea-side terrace for a cocktail. It is vacation, after all! Their cocktails are delicious, I tried the maracuya martini (favorite!) and Kristy tried “Paracas Sunset.” We both loved our choices and enjoyed our refreshments on a summer-like day.
Checking into our rooms was equally amazing. The rooms at Hotel Paracas consist of little villas, and are spacious and luxurious. Our villa had two comfortable queen beds, a big bathroom with an amazing tub (I missed #robelife and made sure to take a bath the first night 🛀🙌🏼), and a nice terrace. Being here reminded me of my summer in Europe and visiting Greece! It was an awesome feeling and made me more excited to be traveling to Europe again next month!!
After checking in we headed out to some adventures in Huacachina and then headed back to the hotel at night for my blissful bath. I’ll be putting together a 48 hour guide to Paracas, so check back to learn more about this experience!
The next morning all 4 of us woke up bright and early for my favorite part of the day – breakfast! The breakfast buffet had so much variety that everyone was left satisfied – vegans and non-vegans. I was happily surprised that they offered plenty of vegan options and all the yummy Peruvian fruit! After breakfast we headed to the resort’s dock for a half-day yacht tour of the ballestas islands!
The great thing about Hotel Paracas is that you can book all aspects of your trip with them. From amazing accommodation, to meals at their fabulous restaurant, and activities around Paracas, Ica, and Nazca. They are partnered with Venturia for the tours, and offer some amazing options. We absolutely loved our yacht tour and saw some beautiful scenery and wildlife! Picture seals, birds, and even a Nazca line (!!) all while cruising on a luxurious yacht around the blue sea. You must try this!

The rest of our time at Hotel Paracas was spent basking in the sun, enjoying their amazing sea-view pool, drinking yummy cocktails, and eating. The food at their restaurant is so great that we had it for lunch and dinner 😍.
Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Paracas for your visit to Paracas. Their service, attention to detail, delicious food and cocktails, luxurious rooms and amenities, and on-site tours will make your time at this beautiful resort unforgettable!
