Experiencing The Langham Huntington Pasadena With Immunocologie
Last week I had the opportunity to visit the Langham Huntington in Pasadena. This is a 5 star resort with beautiful lush grounds and elegant decor. Being here reminded me so much of my travels in Italy and France last year. The place felt very European and the staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed at one of their “Huntington” suites and lets just say I had the best sleep in weeks! I had the suite all to myself which is a first since I usually travel with Nick. This time, however, I was invited to the Langham by a brand, Immunocologie. This is a wonderful skincare brand from New York and they invited a select group of bloggers to partake in a spa getaway and experience their products first-hand through an Immunocologie facial at the Langham’s Chuan spa. It was a much needed getaway full of pampering.
I came to this event with my good blogger friend Audrie (@audrie_storme on IG) who was actually the one who introduced me to Immunocologie. We arrived at the Langham together and actually thought we were sharing a room. Turns out though, that we each got our own suite (!!). I was looking forward to having a sleep over with Audrie, but once I saw the bathtub I was happy to have my own suite. I’m such a sucker for baths and so is she so we were going to have to fight for it! haha.
After checking into my gorgeous suite we had some free time, so I naturally spent it taking photos of the room and vlogging. I’m starting a YouTube channel, btw guys! We then met up with the rest of the bloggers and Immunocologie’s owner, Karen. We spent some time at the Club Lounge bonding over light bites and champagne. Karen told us a little bit about her journey and her inspiration for the brand, and we also bonded over having the same name. According to her, Karens have the most fun. I agree ;). After that we quickly got ready and went to the Langham’s bar for a party. There was more food and an Immunocologie inspired cocktail bar featuring some of the natural ingredients found in their line of skincare products. Things such as clay and edible flowers were added to your cocktail! They were super good and fun to drink 🙂
The next day was more jam-packed than the first. We actually had no free time then, but it was a good thing! The entire day was spend busy in a relaxing way. We started off with yoga at the Langham’s gorgeous Japanese garden followed by brunch and ended with the spa. The spa was beautiful, smelled like heaven, and I felt utterly pampered and relaxed. We all got the Immunocologie facial, but we also got to choose another treatment. I chose a massage and oh my god was it nice! I hadn’t had a massage in years so it was very needed. After yoga, brunch, and getting a massage and facial I could barely walk. All I wanted to do was take a nap or another bath in my suite, but it was time to go. I feel so lucky and grateful to have been a part of Immunocologie’s spa retreat. My only issue now is that I want everyday to be like this!
Have you ever been on a spa retreat? Where was it and did you love it? Let me know in the comments below!
xx, Karen
