Resort Getaway – Hyatt Regency Indian Wells
Last week I had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort And Spa with my blogger bestie, Audrie Storme.
If you’ve been following on Instagram you probably already know that we took a little road trip out to Palm Springs and stayed at this gorgeous resort.
This Hyatt Regency is located in the town of Indian Wells, which is about 25 minutes from Downtown Palm Springs. It’s close enough to drive to the action, but we honestly didn’t leave. Once you check into the Hyatt resort you’ll only was to relax – spending your days poolside, sipping on chilled wine, and enjoying some R&R time at the Aqua Serena Spa.
Audrie and I arrived at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells resort on Wednesday afternoon and checked in to find the most stunning view from our room’s balcony. I am a lover of all things tropical, so seeing so many palm trees immediately put me in a good mood.
Our room was a Regency Club level room with 2 queen beds – plenty comfortable for the both of us to share. Upon arrival we were greeted with a bottle of champagne, chocolates, and some cute “California Dreaming'” sweaters from their gift shop. I now have a beach sweater for summer! 🙂 We, of course, got straight to taking photos in our new sweaters, ordered room service for dinner, and caught the sunset over champagne from our balcony.
On Thursday we decided to wake up early (planned for 5am but really woke up at 6:30) so we could get some photos of the hotel with “morning light”.
Being a blogger or Instagrammer does this to you…you end up making your travel itinerary based on the best time to take photos, haha! We also wanted to get to the Regency Club early to snatch up breakfast before the other guests. Being the good vegan that I am, I got all the fruit and oatmeal.
There is a gorgeous terrace by the breakfast area with amazing mountain views. We got the best seat and set up for breakfast. We spent a good 2 hours there, taking photos, eating, and taking in the views. Guests came and went, but the place was so serene we just didn’t want to move. The only reason we left was because the sun started burning! Queue the pool!
The rest of our day was spent poolside. It was so hot that all I wanted to do was tan and be in the water. Luckily, the Hyatt Regency has an insane pool area with a variety of pools to choose from. Big ones, small ones, cold ones, hot ones, there’s a pool for everyone! We set up in the Adult Oasis pool and got one of the cabanas to hide from the heat. It was the perfect call. We both found ourselves running into the cabana for cover throughout the day. We had some drinks and lunch poolside – both were delicious! I got the spinach wrap and veggie hummus platter for lunch and Audrie got a huge plate of chips, salsa, and guacamole.
Once the sun started to set we headed back to our room to change and get ready for a little photoshoot. But first, we stopped by the Regency Club to get some tea and snacks. Much to our delight we found that some of the snacks consisted of grilled veggies and quinoa so we ended up having that for dinner. Sooo good!
Our last day at the Hyatt Regency Resort was Friday. We started the day with breakfast at the Regency Club once again, and then headed to our spa appointments at 9am. We both chose to try the Quench body wraps – a wrap were they pour hot paraffin all over your body and massage you to quench your body and relax. It was an interesting experience. It was my first time ever trying a body wrap (usually get massages), and while I liked the experience overall, I wasn’t a huge fan of how hot the paraffin was. I’m a big baby when it comes to pain, and being burned isn’t my first thought on relaxation. Other than the heat, I felt relaxed and happy after the treatment and loved the overall ambiance of the Aqua Serena Spa.
Their outdoor pool area was gorgeous and serene! After the spa, we followed by further indulging ourselves at the resort’s restaurant. There we ordered Salmon salads which were to die for! I know, Salmon isn’t vegan, but I am trying to incorporate it back into my diet as it’s great for your skin. Saving my skin was the reason I went vegan in the first place (read about that here). Of course, I had to add avocado to my salad – a meal isn’t complete without it!
Overall Audrie and I had a wonderful time at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort And Spa. The beautiful setting of the resort combined with the amiability and above-and-beyond customer service made our getaway one to remember.
Everything about this resort makes you feel at home, and the staff make sure you have everything you could possibly need. During our stay, Audrie got something stuck in her camera and someone from maintenance delivered pliers to our room. I also forgot my iPhone charger and the hotel let me borrow one for the duration of the trip. I don’t think there’s anything they can’t do to keep you happy! Thank you Hyatt for going above and beyond and saving the day!
