Staycation at La Peer Hotel, West Hollywood’s Best New Luxury Hotel
Ever since I got back to LA I have been in a whirlwind of emotions. Part of me is loving being reunited with family and friends. Going back to my favorite restaurants and trying new ones, and reflecting on how much my life has changed in the two years I’ve been away. The other part is hating on the traffic, the high prices, and live to work mentality. Last week, however, gave me time to revisit one of my favorite LA neighborhoods and reminded me of why I loved this city so much. This mind shift happened during my stay at La Peer Hotel – West Hollywood’s hottest new getaway.
My business bestie, Kristina Wilde, and I decided to get together to work on a very exciting project. She and I met a few years back when we were both living in the city. We realized we shared similar life paths when we reunited in Paris this summer (where she currently lives) right before I moved to Mallorca. Ever since that meet-up, we have been talking daily, supporting each other on our projects and life.
Our staycation at La Peer Hotel was a mixture of work, self-care, and utter luxury. We stayed for 3 days, 2 nights, which was a perfect amount of time to get stuff handled. Although I could have easily stayed there for a month to bask in the understated luxury that is this beautiful hotel. The La Peer Hotel has been impeccably decorated by interior designer, Gulla Jónsdóttir. It represents LA and West Hollywood perfectly with it’s light and modern interior, outdoor lounge area, and cool pool surrounded by palm trees. Every corner is Instagrammable AF.

Kristina and I spent the entire three days shooting in every corner of the hotel. From bed shots, to mirror selfies, to #digitalnomadlife by the pool, our feeds are now filled with shots from La Peer Hotel. I’m just pretending I live there now. When we weren’t shooting we were chatting up a storm with the friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We had bartenders doubling as photographers and our favorite front desk guy, Hanns, as our new BFF.
La Peer Hotel is also in a perfect location, right by Melrose and my favorite vegan restaurant, Gracias Madre. Of course, given the location, we had lunch at Gracias Madre two out of the three days we were there. Skipping the third only because we had leftovers. Given that it’s right by Melrose, it is close to LA’s hottest restaurants, cafes, and shopping. You are also bound to run into either bloggers, instagrammers, or even celebrities during your visit. I ran into a fellow blogger friend who was working in the lobby bar at La Peer Hotel, and Kristina ran into another blogger as well at check-in. It was a staycation full of reunions!
Overall we LOVED our stay at La Peer Hotel and are looking forward to come back in the near future. The hotel itself has tons to offer. However, the proximity to Melrose makes it an even more enticing option for any LA trip or staycation.
